I've noticed a significant change in my TikTok algorithm in the past two weeks. It's shifted from featuring content about Nara Smith and her cooking adventures to showcasing psychics predicting the end of the world and religious prophecies, specifically the Red Heifer Prophecy.
Following Jewish traditions, the ritual purification required for the building of a third temple in Jerusalem needs the ashes of a red heifer cow. But not just any red cow, it is necessary for the heifer to be completely red, free of any markings, and to have never given birth.
A heifer of this kind has not been found in over 2,000 years, since the Romans destroyed the second Jewish Temple, which is believed to have been located on top of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s old city, where the Al Aqsa mosque now stands.
In 2022, a Texan rancher made headlines by selling five of these rare animals to Israel. According to recent developments about this ceremony, reports suggest that there are already plans in motion for this sacrifice to take place this year, as early as Passover 2024.
This prophecy has sparked significant controversy online, with radical Jews insisting that once this ceremony has taken place, the construction of the Third Jewish Temple should occur in the precise location of Al Aqsa, protesting for its destruction.
Allowing speculations of a potential third world war to grow stronger, as the destruction of Al Aqsa, one of the holiest sites in Islam, could provoke retaliation from other Muslim nations.
On X and TikTok, users from the Christian faith have shared their belief on the platforms that this prophecy signifies the second coming, while many followers of the Islamic faith have expressed that the prophecy is not mentioned in the Quran, but suggest it should be regarded as a sign to draw closer to Allah.
However, contemporary Jews have dismissed this theory. One Jewish content creator stated,
"This ritual hasn't occurred in about 2000 years since the Jewish Temple was destroyed by the Romans" She clarified, "There are no Passover sacrifices, and there haven't been for thousands of years in Judaism."
She refuted the notion of an altar already being set up on the Temple Mount, where the sacrifice is rumoured to take place, emphasizing that it's nearly illegal for Jews to access the Temple Mount. Suggesting that we’re all falling into the trap of anti-Semitic conspiracy TikTok.
After all of these theories, I’m starting to actually miss Nara Smith.
